Lexi Hartley PhD
Owner; Aerial Hammock Instructor, Performer
Aerial Hammock instructor training and certification through Circus Arts Institute
Lexi has been passionate about aerial arts since 2018 and has dedicated the last four years to teaching kids and adults the beauty and creativity of aerial hammock, aerial chains, and rope dart. Her teaching style blends technique, artistry, and safe progression, helping students build confidence while exploring new skills in the air.
In addition to coaching, Lexi performs as a traveling aerialist and has taken the stage across Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, Tennessee, Kansas, and Missouri. Her wide range of performance experience informs her classes, where she brings not only technical knowledge but also a deep appreciation for storytelling and movement. Lexi is committed to creating an encouraging, empowering environment for every student who walks through the door.

Rue teaches kids’ lyra, aerial dance, and conditioning. She fell in love with circus at 15 after seeing Cirque du Soleil and later trained in Illinois State University’s Gamma Phi Circus. With a strong dance background, she specializes in aerial hoop, Spanish web, hammock, and straps.
She’s passionate about helping students build strength, body awareness, and safe movement habits, with a focus on injury prevention and healthy flexibility. After completing a contract with Do Portugal Circus, Rue now performs locally as an aerialist. She brings joy, experience, and care to every class and hopes to inspire others to discover the fun of circus arts.
