Sky Cirque & Parkour – FAQ
Circus Soul. Urban Movement. Come as you are. Leave a little more infinite.
INTRO & OFFERINGS
Q: What exactly is Parkour?
It’s our urban movement arts class—part parkour, part ninja warrior, part calisthenics, all motion. It’s about control, creativity, and strength through exploration, not repetition. Think leaping, swinging, vaulting, balancing, flowing. Your body becomes your artform.
Q: What about the circus side? Is it real circus?
Yup. We teach aerial hammock and lyra (that spinning hoop thing). It’s strength meets elegance—up in the air. Great for building body awareness, confidence, and that wild feeling of flying without leaving the city.
Q: What makes your gym different from other places like gymnastics or ninja gyms?
We’re not a franchise. We’re not about medals or scores. We’re about creative movement, growth, and community. We mix the raw with the refined. Our space is a playground for becoming—not just performing.
TRIALS & REGISTRATION
Q: Do I need experience to join?
None. Zero. Come as you are. We work with total beginners, shy first-timers, and lifelong movers. You’ll learn from the ground up—literally.
Q: Can I try a class before committing?
Yes. Our drop-in classes and intro offers let you feel things out before signing up for a full session. We want you to love it, not just tolerate it.
Q: Do you offer trial classes?
Yes, depending on space and class type. Trial classes are 15 minutes, and parents of minors must remain on-site. Contact us to set one up and see if the vibe is right.
Q: How do I sign up?
You can sign up through our website. Have questions first? Message us.
Q: How do I register for classes?
All registrations go through our class management system on the website.
Parents must register themselves first, then add children to their account. A waiver is required, and payment is due at registration.
Q: Where are you located?
2500 Kimco Ct Suite 102, Lincoln, NE 68521. Look for the big garage door and small white sign with our logo.
Q: Can I just stop by and watch?
Definitely. The energy speaks for itself. Come see a class in action, meet us, and feel the vibe.
AGES & CLASS STRUCTURE
Q: Do you offer kids classes?
Yes. We offer classes for a range of ages, typically starting around age 7. Kids learn through games, challenges, and creative problem solving—it’s like recess, leveled up.
Q: How old does my kid need to be to start?
Youth classes start at age 7. Private lessons are available from age 8.
Some aerial classes (like fabrics) also begin at age 7.
At 14, students can request instructor permission to join adult classes.
Q: Can adults take classes too?
Absolutely. Adult classes are for ages 16+, but mature students 14+ may join with instructor permission. We offer full sessions and flexible drop-ins.
SAFETY & SUPERVISION
Q: Is this safe? It looks intense.
Safety is baked into every class. We progress slowly, spot carefully, and prioritize strength-building. Risk exists in movement—but so does growth. You’ll never be pushed beyond your limits.
Q: Can I drop my child off early?
Please arrive no more than 5–10 minutes before class. We can only supervise students during their scheduled class times. Kids under 8 must be picked up inside by an adult.
Q: Can I stay and watch my child’s class?
Yes—from the waiting area. To maintain safety and focus, only instructors and enrolled students are allowed on the floor unless otherwise invited. If your presence helps your child feel safe, we’ll work with you.
Q: Can my child wait in the studio between classes?
Only if they’re enrolled in back-to-back classes and can wait quietly. No wandering, climbing, or using equipment outside of class.
CLASS LOGISTICS & POLICIES
Q: Do you offer make-up classes?
Yes, but it depends on the class.
Adults in full sessions can use Open Studio for make-ups (if appropriate).
Youth make-ups require approval and may involve alternatives if the student falls behind.
Q: What happens if we’re late?
If more than 15 minutes late, students may be asked to observe rather than participate, to avoid injury from a missed warm-up. Please arrive early, warmed up, and ready to move.
Q: What’s your cancellation/refund policy?
Refunds are only issued for long-term illness, injury, or if we cancel the class.
If you cancel before the first class, you’ll receive a refund minus a $30 administrative fee.
No refunds once the session has started unless there’s a medical reason.
Q: Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, for students ages 8 and up.
Lessons are scheduled based on instructor availability and must be paid in advance. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
Q: What if I forget something at the studio?
Check the lost and found in the public restroom. Items are held for 30 days before being donated.
We’re not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Q: What should I wear or bring?
Bring curiosity, water, and clothes you can move in.
For aerial, wear fitted clothing that covers your abdomen, knees, and armpits. This prevents fabric burns and ensures safety. No zippers, no jewelry, no heavy perfumes.
For parkour, wear comfortable athletic gear and indoor shoes with grip—no sandals or cleats. You’ll be vaulting, swinging, rolling, and leaping.
Long hair should be tied back.
For kids: no loose skirts or dresses. Pre-teens should wear supportive underlayers like briefs or sports bras to avoid discomfort or injury.
And always bring your willingness to try something new. We’ll handle the rest.
